It was reported in 2013 that shuttle rates for the Ozark National Scenic Riverways were high (likely due to high gas prices). Since I felt that transparency and competition can "possibly" keep the rates competitively lower, I have decided to start this "Shuttle Rate Database" for the 3 Missouri Scenic Rivers of reported shuttle service rates. Common river outfitter rates can be listed here for free. Non-outfitter rates (Independent Shuttler) have a small $10/year listing fee per year. To be listed, email Steve at Webmaster@MissouriScenicRivers.com to discuss. Repeated reports of sub-standard shuttle services will result in the removal of ones ad without refund.

NOTE: Most "outfitters" will only charge you $15-$25 to shuttle your canoe/kayak/tube/raft when you are with a party of people that rents from them also. It can get a lot more pricey when you ask an outfitter to shuttle soley you, you and your floating device, or just your vehicle to a put in - take out spot. I have heard ranges from $54 to well over $100 per shuttle trip. High? In some cases, sure it is. That is the dreamchild of this database of shuttle contacts ........... to keep prices low.

TIP: The common outfitters surely do this, but the non-outfitters may not have thought of it. They may want to think about having the person(s) that they are shuttling sign an information & liability form to cover them in the event of an incident. I have found similar forms online from other out of state river shuttle servicers that will give them an idea of what type of form to draft. (example 1 / example 2 / example 3)

  • A vehicle can be picked up at Greer Spring and dropped at Riverton for $40 (Reported August 2013) -- Huffstedler's

  • We do shuttles from Thomasville - Riverton and anything in between for $40 per car and down to 142 or Myrtle for $50 per car. We can even do Dalton, Arkansas for $65 per car. Most popular overnight float is Greer to Riverton because it is never too low to float due to Greer spring. Turner to Riverton, Whitten to Riverton and Greer to Whitten are popular one day floats.
